Map From Denver/CO Springs to the San Juan River
Go South on I-25 to Walsenberg. West on Hwy 160 to Ft Garland. Left on Hwy 159 South to San Luis. Right turn on Hwy 142 to Manassa/Romero. At Hwy 285, left turn to Antonito. Stay on Hwy 17 to Chama, New Mexico, crossing Cumbres Pass. In Chama, make a right turn on Hwy 84/64 towards Pagosa Springs. A gas station and Dairy Queen will be on your left at the turn point. Twelve miles from Chama turn left on to Hwy 64 to Dulce. Follow Hwy 64 to Hwy 539. Make a right turn on Hwy 539 and cross the dam at Navajo Lake. After you cross the dam make a U-turn and proceed down the side of the dam. You are at the San Juan quality water now. To get to Rainbow Lodge, keep going down 511 for 5 miles to Hwy 173 and make a right turn. Go down the hill and cross back over the river. Take the first left and follow CR 4277 to the Lodge. The drive is approximately 45 minutes from the Airport and 55 minutes from Durango.
